Abstract:

A.P. Qian will analyze the problems of our country’s urban network planning and the key factors which influences the safety of road traffic. Drawing lessons from the experience of American road network planning and the project of Shanghai Lujiazui and Nanhuizui region planning and A.P. Qian will share some of his own thinking with the audience at the same time.

Introduction of the speaker:

Mr. Hong-bo Qian, born in July 1976, is an Associate professor of College of Transportation, Shanghai Maritime University, Master Tutor, Visiting Scholar of Texas A&M University in American, Panel Member of the Ministry of Public Security Traffic Management Bureau, member of the Shanghai Traffic Engineering Association and Shanghai Simulation Association.
A.P. Qian teaches several courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students including Traffic Design, Traffic Engineering, Traffic Model and Application and Urban Public Transport, etc., meanwhile, he has hosted and participated in many vertical projects including Natural Science Foundation of China, Open Project of Key Laboratory of Road Traffic Safety, Shanghai Pujiang Talents Plan, National Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Research Task of National Engineering Construction Standard, National High-tech Research and Development Projects (863) and Innovation Projects of Shanghai Education Committee, etc. A.P. Qian has authored more than 30 papers and authorized 4 national patents and won the first prize of Science and Technology Award of Shanghai Pudong New Area in 2014, first prize of Teaching Achievement Award of Shanghai Maritime University in 2013, second prize of Annual Progress Award in Science and Technology of China Association of Port in 2012, second prize of Annual Excellent Papers of Traffic Information and Safety Journal.
