Dr. Xiao is currently working as a Full Professor in the Department of Road and Airport Engineering at Tongji University, China, and an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Alabama, USA. Dr. Xiao possesses an excellent record of education and academic & industrial experiences in civil engineering filed. As a registered civil engineer, he has more than 15-year research and industry experience and obtained his professional engineer (PE) license (No. 34503) in Maryland, USA.

Dr. Xiao was appointed for Editor of Construction & Building Material and Associate Editor of ASCE Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering, the Editorial Board Member of Journal of Global Energy Issue and Journal of Testing & Evaluation. He has also frequently been invited as a peer reviewer for over 20 prestigious international journals

Dr. Xiao has been widely recognized in pavement sustainable materials research including more than 80 peer reviewed articles in national and international circulating journals and international conference proceedings since last six years. He is a member of many national or international professional societies by nomination or election, such as Sigma Xi Research Society, American Society for Testing of Materials, American Nano Society, and Association of Asphalt Pavement Technologists.

Prof. Weidong Huang is a professor of Road and Airport Engineering at Tongji University, and his interesting research fields include polymer modified asphalt (PMA) and its performance in mixture, new mixture design method based on PMA and asphalt mixture performance evaluation. Dr. Huang has rich experience in PMA manufacture and quality control. Dr. Huang has managed research projects with National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Department of Transport of Hebei Province, Department of Transport of Sichuan Province, and got awarded for scientific progress.

He teaches asphalt mixture design and testing technology of asphaltic materials for graduate students at Tongji University. He has been with Tongji University since 2000.

Prof. Daquan Sun is a full professor in College of Transportation Engineering at Tongji University. Dr. Sun graduated from Liaoning Petrochemical University with a M.E. in Chemical Engineering in 2000 and went on to earn a PhD in Road and Railway Engineering from Tongji University in 2003. Dr. Sun joined the faculty in 2003 as an assistant professor and was promoted to associate professor in 2007. Dr. Sun teaches courses in road engineering materials, asphalt and asphalt mixtures. Dr. Sun’s scholarship focuses primarily on components and microstructure of bituminous materials, asphalt materials and paving technology of special engineering.
