Zhongyin Guo was born in January 1962 in Ju'an City, Shandong Province, China. He spends a long time in Tongji University, first as a student and then as a teacher. He has successively held the Posts of Research Assistant, Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor, Department Director and Dean of College of Transportation Engineering. Now he is a Professor and Tutors of Postgraduate Candidates of Road Safety and Environment Research Institute. He also undertakes some social jobs, such as Council Member of Shanghai Society of Civil Engineering and the Vice-chairman of its Road and Traffic Engineering Committee(Since 2000), Chairman of Road and Road Machinery Committee of Shanghai Highway and Transportation Society (Since 2002), Personal Member of PIARC (Since 1995), Associate Editor of “The International Journal of Road Materials and Pavement Design”, Associate Editor of “Advances in Transportation Studies : An international Journal”, Council Member of China Society of Road Safety (Since 2000), Executive Council Member of Environment and Sustainable Development Branch of China Highway and Transportation Society(Since 2002), Person Selected for the First Level of New Century Talents Project of the Ministry of Transportation.
Professor Guo is the principal investigator of many National High-tech R&D Programs of China (863 Programs), National Key Technology R&D Programs and provincial or ministerial projects, such as “The Accidents Prevention Management System of Freeway Under Disastrous Weather”, “The Research on the Roadway Geometric Design Index Fingers Effecting Traffic Operation Safety”, “Study on Operation Safety at Tunnel`s Entrance and Exit” and so on.

Zhen Yang, Ph.D., Associate professor, College of Transportation Engineering, Tongji University. Dr. Yang was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province in 1974. He Majors in road engineering. His research interesting includes road safety, driving behavior, road alignment design and driving simulation. He presided over project ACT-R based multi-agent cooperation driving simulation model and its realization which sponsored by the National Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and one key project sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission (SMSTC). Also he was Awarded Shanghai Government Awards in Science and Technology Progress and Outstanding Young Teacher of Tongji University. He has more than 30 papers issued in some important professional periodicals.
Feng Chen, Ph.D., professor, College of Transportation Engineering, Tongji University. Dr. Feng Chen’s has been committed to studies in the areas of Traffic safety, Statistical analysis of Crash Data, Reliability analysis and Driving simulator. He earned his doctorate degree and was postdoctoral fellow at the Colorado State University. From 2007 to 2012, he participated in eight USA projects on Traffic safety, Vehicle dynamic model and Reliability analysis. And from 2012 till now, he served as the PI of about 10 research grants funded by various national and provincial agencies, including NSFC and Ministry of Education, in the field of Traffic safety and Driving simulator. He has published more than 10 peer reviewed journal papers and many peer reviewed conference papers and reports, and has served as reviewers for many journals including Transportation Research Part C,Accident Analysis and Prevention and Journal of Transportation Engineering-ASCE.
