主讲人简介:

Dipl.-Ing. Christian Conrad is a scientist at Fraunhofer IZFP in Saarbruecken (Germany) and work as Chief Business Development Manager, Program Manager Centre of Sensor Intelligence and Technology Manager Sensor Intelligence Devices and Forming Technologies. He obtained his diploma at the Saarland University in the field of production engineering. He has more than 20 years of experience in NDT methods and techniques in several research fields like Intelligent Sensor Systems and Sensor Intelligence Devices, Micro magnetic methods and devices, forming technologies – processes and testing methods, Integration and implementation of (intelligent) testing methods in process chains, Electromagnetic ultrasound (EMAT), Thermography – passive and active and Trainings/educations/seminars for forming technologies and applications.

主讲内容简介:

Fraunhofer IZFP is an internationally renowned research and development institute for applied industrial research located in Saarbrücken and Ilmenau. Its activities center around the development of smart sensor and data systems for safety, sustainability and efficiency. More and more sensors are being used in manufacturing companies as well. As part of “Industry 4.0” and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), they serve to improve product and process quality and flexibility and increase productivity. Such sensors must have not only great data availability, but also sufficient data quality to ensure that the data are correct, consistent, and free of disruption. The more advanced and powerful a sensor, the more relevant and valuable the data it generates. For almost 50 years, Fraunhofer IZFP has been developing powerful sensors that deliver relevant information about materials, semi-finished products, and components without destroying them. These sensors become “cognitive” when they are linked to AI. AI enables assessment that is more accurate, provides more complete data analysis, accurate prediction and more rigorous and sophisticated quality control in real time. Safe, sustainable and efficient integration of sensors and data systems for non-destructive testing and quality control of industrial processes and value chains, continuous improvement of product and process quality, enhanced flexibility and increased production efficiency. This presentation will give an overview about the different sensors, sensor systems and additionally the possibilities to implement them into process chains along the whole Product-Life-Cycle (PLC). As part of the digitalization process, our focus is on the ever-growing share of solutions for modern sensor systems, which combine aspects of pure sensor technology with data management and analysis functions (NDE4.0). In the context of NDE4.0, Fraunhofer IZFP also researches and develops pioneering technologies for industrial and research applications.
