Objectives:
Applicants should have positive working and studying behavior, and love the country and people. Strict truth-seeking attitude with solid theoretical knowledge on the area of study is required and able to conduct the scientific research or to solve the engineering problems independently are the important abilities for the successful applicants. Good understanding on the research activities and development tendency of transportation engineering, railway engineering, airport engineering, transportation management engineering, and transportation information and control engineering is a plus for the candidates. The successful candidate will also be expect to have the profession and management skill in transportation engineering related areas, and be able to complete the research work with creative achievements. Applicants are expect to fluent in at least one foreign language and be able to find the reference in the areas of profession, and have the capability of international academic communication.
Admit Requirements:
1. A minimum score of 80 on the internet based TOEFL is required. For the IELTS, a minimum score of 6.0 is required. These scores are not required for those who have the relevant certificate from a university whose classes were primarily taught in English.
2. Hold Bachelor’s degree or above in transportation related major.
3. Provide notarized Bachelor degree diploma and both notarized and original transcript of the undergrad courses. Certificate in language other than Chinese or English needs to provide the notarized Chinese or English translation.
4. Provide study and research plan in China (not less than 800 words), and the plan can be written in Chinese or English.
5. Provide two letters of recommendation from associate professor or those who have equivalent professional titles as associate professor or above.
Basic Requirements:
Course Requirements: Master program must obtain 28 credits, which include 18 major courses credits (6 public degree courses credits, 12 professional degree courses credits), 8 non-degree courses credits which chosen in this level-II discipline or cross discipline (compulsory and optional) , and 2 credits on compulsory activity .
Thesis Requirements: Each student must complete the oral research proposal presentation before the end of the academic semester. Complete the research thesis by fulfilling the requirements from the ministry of education in China, and pass the oral defense. The Master degree applicant should publish a journal paper or a conference paper which specified by the college requirement.
