主讲人简介：

Daniel Cohan is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice University. His research focuses on modelling of air pollution and electricity systems. He received his A.B. in applied mathematics from Harvard University and his Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences from Georgia Tech.

主讲内容简介：

This talk will draw on lessons from Dr. Cohan’s book, Confronting Climate Gridlock: How Diplomacy, Technology, and Policy Can Unlock a Clean Energy Future (Yale University Press, 2022). It will show how learning-by-doing is crucial to reducing the costs and improving the performance of technologies for energy efficiency, clean electricity, electrified transportation, and clean fuels. He will also discuss findings from energy systems modeling he has conducted in the United States.
