同济高等讲堂:California’s Transition to Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Method

主讲人简介:

Dr. Rongzong Wu is a researcher at the University of California Pavement Research Center. His research is focused on mechanistic-empirical pavement design of flexible pavements, including model development, calibration, and implementation. His interests also cover accelerated pavement testing, falling weight deflectometer data analysis, and pavement management system.

主讲内容简介:

California has transitioned from empirical to mechanistic-empirical method for pavement designs through a decade long process. This presentation reviews how this transition was achieved, the current state of implementation, and what remains to be done to further improve the design method. As a key part of the transition, California’s experience with performance related specifications will also be discussed.
