主讲人简介：
Dr. Serji N. Amirkhanian was the Mays Professor of Transportation and the Direc -tor of the Asphalt Rubber Technology Services (ARTS) at Clemson University until June of 2010. He is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Alabama and a member of the European Union Academy of Sciences, and also an Adjunct Professor at Tongji University, Wuhan University of Technology, Arizona State University, IIT Madras, India, and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. He has conducted over 300 presentations around the country and the world presenting his research findings. He published over 300 articles and all citations are close to 10,000. He has supported over 170 graduate and undergraduate students and over fifteen postdoctoral scholars.
主讲内容简介：
For the past 20 years, there has been much discussion regarding the carbon foot print of many industries, specially the paving industry. The speaker will present various technologies that might be utilized in the asphalt paving industry to reduce the Co2 produced around the world for producing the materials and for the construction of the pavements. There have been many technologies developed
in recent years that if implemented will reduce the carbon foor-print of this industry by many folds. The presentation will include some of the activities around the world regarding this and related topics.
