主讲人简介

     Augusto Cannone Falchetto is an Assistant Professor at Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, US, from which he received M.S. and Ph.D. His research focusses on infrastructure materials and pavement engineering and combines experimental research, advanced analysis and modelling. His interests cover a range of topics, including materials performance, mix optimization, structural behavior of asphalt pavements, fatigue, healing, and shear in asphalt materials, hot and cold recycling, micromechanical and rheological modelling, chemo-mechanics and Digital Image Processing.

主讲内容简介

    Applying Chemo-Mechanics allows us to gain a better understanding of the long-term behavior of traditional and new materials such as mixtures containing a high amount of RAP and prepared at a lower temperature. Having a fundamental understanding of the combined chemo-mechanical properties can greatly enhance the tools used to improve the material’s sustainability and functionality. The proposed presentation provides an overview on the recent research activity on chemo-mechanics conducted under the umbrella of RILEM experimentally addressing aging in terms of rheological and chemical properties at the binder and mixture level. A parallel study performed at Technische Universität Braunschweig evaluating the effect of asphalt binder aging at low temperature is also presented at the end.
