Biography
Prof. Wang Binglong was born in Mar. 1964 in Dongyang, Zhejiang province. He graduated from Tongji University and received his Ph.D. degree in Geotechnical Engineering in 2004. Now he works as a supervisor of Ph.D. students in Dept. of Urban Rail Transit and Railway Engineering, Tongji University. He is also a member of Geology and Subgrade Committee of China Railway Society. Prof. Wang has been doing researches and teaching works in Calculation Theory and Construction Technology of Long-term Settlement of Rail Transit Structure for over 25 years, with more than 80 papers and 3 books published. He has been in charge of and participated in more than 20 national, provincial and ministerial-level projects, including the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Scientific and Technological Development Program of Ministry of Railway, and the key scientific research projects of High-speed railway in East China. Based on his research, numerous achievements related to Improvement of Soft Soil Foundation, Geosynthetic Reinforced Pile-supported Embankment Structure and High-accuracy Settlement Calculation Method has been obtained.
