Professor Sun is a distinguished professor of the “Changjiang Scholars Program” of The Ministry of Education. He also gained The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.
As the former dean of our school and the director of the key laboratory of the Ministry of Education, he has hosted more than100 projects, including National, local, and crosswise projects such as National Key Technology Research Program of China during the “10th five-year plan”, projects of the National Ministry of Science and Technology, Shanghai ITS demonstration project, the national natural science fund project of China, the key projects of National Natural Science Fund of China, Fund of Ford-China development, the key project of Ministry of Education, the western science project of Ministry of Transport, and so on. He has published over 400 papers and three books. He has won 13 provincial and ministerial Science and Technology Progress Awards and three National Science and Technology Progress Awards.
