Dr. Li is currently an associate professor in department of traffic engineering, Tongji University. His research focuses on transportation planning and management, behavior operation and logistics engineering, etc.
Dr. Li took in charge of projects such as: Research on Bus Competitiveness Based on Behavior Dynamic Analysis funded by National Natural Science Foundation for Youth of China (2010-2012), Research on Bus Scale and Policy Based on Behavior Dynamic Analysis funded by Doctoral Fund for New Teachers of Ministry of Education (2010-2011), Regional Static Traffic System Optimization and Scheme Design for Jinan West Railway Station(2011), Static Traffic System Layout and Optimization Scheme for Taiyuan Street in Shenyang(2012-2013), The ‘13th Five-Year’ Development Plan for Hangzhou Highway(2015), and strongly involved in projects of Regional Coordinated Traffic Control under Special Conditions funded by 863 Program (2011-2013), Transport Modal Development of Urban Agglomeration funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (2012-2015), Traffic Congestion under the Land Redevelopment funded by Doctoral Fund of Ministry of Education (2009-2010). In his research areas, he has published two books and over 90 academic articles.
He involves in the construction of undergraduate course “Traffic Management and Control” which has won the title of Excellence Course of China and Excellence Resources Sharing Course of China, and mainly teaches the undergraduate courses “Traffic Management and Control”, “Traffic Management and Control Course Design”, and graduate courses “Modern Traffic Control Methods and Practice”, “Public Transport Planning, Operation and Management”.
