Biography
Dr Hang is a Research Professor with the Department of Traffic Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai, China. His research interests include decision making, motion planning and control for connected autonomous vehicles. He received the Ph.D. degree with the School of Automotive Studies, Tongji University, in 2019. He was a Visiting Researcher with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore in 2018, and a Software Engineer in the Research & Advanced Technology Dept., SAIC Motor, China in 2019. From 2020 to 2022, he served as a Research Fellow with RRC, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has published more than 50 academic papers in the field of autonomous driving (more than 20 papers in TOP journals such as IEEE T-ITS, IEEE-TIE) and 2 books, and applied for more than 20 patents (9 granted). He has received many awards and honors, including China Association for Science and Technology "Young Talents Promotion Project", Shanghai Leading Talent (Overseas), IJAT-Springer Award, Electronics Travel Awards, Shanghai Excellent Doctoral Graduates, National Scholarship for Doctoral Candidates, Excellent Doctoral Thesis of Tongji University, and APAC Excellent Paper Award. He serves as an Associate Editor of Journal of Field Robotics, and SAE International Journal of Vehicle Dynamics, Stability, and NVH, and a Guest Editor of IET Intelligent Transport Systems, and Journal of Advanced Transportation, and an active reviewer for more than 40 international journal and conferences. He also served as an Associate Editor, Session Chair, and Session Organizer of some international conference, e.g., IEEE ITSC 2022, CVCI 2021, etc.
